Staying on track is essential when maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Can you enjoy a great holiday “treat meal”? Of course! Don’t deprive yourself! Enjoy a dessert you usually wouldn’t touch during the rest of the year! The thing that gets us into trouble is the binging! During the holidays, or when taking a mini break from your healthy lifestyle, it’s OK to enjoy yourself; just don’t overdo it. Working out also plays a critical role during the holidays. Gaining weight is simple calories in versus calories out! If you are enjoying a few “treat meals,” skipping even just a quick workout will not be beneficial in the long run!

Most people don’t want the hassle of trying to find a gym while visiting family during the holidays. This is a time to relax, and enjoy yourself and your loved ones. BUT that doesn’t mean you won’t feel better if you can squeeze even just a quick routine in! Here is a quick, “on-the-go” workout you can do anywhere!

Complete ONE Round:

100 Jumping Jacks
90 Crunches
80 Squats
70 Mountain Climbers (35 each leg)
60 Jumping Jacks
50 Crunches
40 Jump Squats
30 Switch Lunges
20 Jumping Jacks
10 Burpees

Staying happy, healthy and fit is a lifestyle. Yes you can definitely enjoy yourself, but it is all about balance! Take this workout with you when you are visiting family during the holidays. Burn a few extra calories, so you can justify that extra “treat meal.” Enjoy your getaways, just be sure to jump RIGHT back on track in January!
