Last week’s post was all about alternative protein powder sources that were soy and dairy free – vegan protein powders! Just like whey protein powder, vegan protein powders can be mixed and blended to create your very own vegan smoothie recipes. Here are a few of my favorite smoothie recipes that take the dairy out. Try these 4 Vegan Protein Smoothies that will help support recovery and health!

½ cup of mixed frozen berries
1 tbsp chia seeds
¼ cup acai berry juice

¼ package silken tofu
¼ cup cold water
ice cubes

Blend all ingredients in a blender, except chia seeds. Add chia seeds after blending in order to avoid sheering. Chia seeds will absorb water and add to the thickness of this smoothie.
