Boost Recovery With These Dairy Free Blends

Last week’s post was all about alternative protein powder sources that were soy and dairy free – vegan protein powders! Just like whey protein powder, vegan protein powders can be mixed and blended to create your very own vegan smoothie recipes. Here are a few of my favorite smoothie recipes that take the dairy out. Try these 4 Vegan Protein Smoothies that will help support recovery and health!

4 Vegan Protein Smoothies - Boost Recovery With These Dairy Free Blends

Chia Berry Smoothie

½ cup of mixed frozen berries
1 tbsp chia seeds
¼ cup acai berry juice
1 scoop of vanilla vegan protein powder
¼ package silken tofu
¼ cup cold water
ice cubes

Calories: 255 kCal, Carbs: 24 g, Protein: 30 g, Fat: 8 g

Blend all ingredients in a blender, except chia seeds. Add chia seeds after blending in order to avoid sheering. Chia seeds will absorb water and add to the thickness of this smoothie.

Chocolate Coconut Almond

¼ cup coconut almond milk unsweetened
½ frozen banana
1 scoop chocolate vegan protein powder
½ tbsp raw hemp seeds or ground sacha inchi
½ cup water
½ tsp shredded raw coconut
ice cubes

Calories: 213 kCal, Carbs; 20 g, Protein: 21 g, Fat: 7 g

Blend all ingredients in a blender on high, except save a bit of raw hemp and shredded coconut for the top of the smoothie!

Chocolate Raspberry Smoothie

¼ package silken tofu
½ cup almond milk unsweetened
½ cup frozen raspberries
1 scoop chocolate vegan protein powder
1 tsp dark cocoa powder
½ cup cold water
ice cubes

Calories: 172 kCal, Carbs: 16 g, Protein: 24 g, Fat: 5 g

Blend all ingredients until smooth in a blender. Sprinkle a bit of dark cocoa on top!

Green Choco-Berry Smoothie

¼ cup ripe avocado
½ cup frozen berries
1 scoop greens powder
1 cup frozen chopped spinach
1 scoop vegan chocolate protein powder
1 tsp dark cocoa powder

Calories: 254 kCal, Carbs: 29 g, Protein: 27 g, Fat: 12 g

Blend all ingredients until smooth in a blender. Sprinkle a bit of dark cocoa on top!
