Have you ever had a goal or something special that you spent a long time working towards? Something that whenever you thought about it, you couldn’t help but smile? Something that you gave and will continue to give your all to because it’s just that special? Well, that something for me is the Bikini Olympia!
Since I began competing approximately a year and a half ago, my mindset was— and still is— to constantly better myself, to keep improving not only my physique but my mind and my way of thinking. It was an honor to have walked on the prestigious Olympia stage last year, especially since I had earned my IFBB pro card less than four months prior. I couldn’t believe I was up there with the best bodies and some of the most beautiful girls in the world. I was on the same stage as the girls who inspired me to begin my competitive journey. It was an unbelievable feeling.
It’s even more unbelievable that I will be back on that stage this Friday. When I qualified last year at the Ft. Lauderdale Cup, I knew that come this Olympia, I wanted to present the best physique I could possibly create. It is such an honor to compete at this show that I believe it would be disrespectful for me not to present my best package. It’s been a long year, but it’s been an amazing year. I have made many big changes in my life in order to be able to give 100 percent focus and dedication to all of my goals.
I’ve worked my butt off this past year; I have kept focus because I know what I want. I never forgot that promise I made to myself to push through any obstacles, and be a stronger person so that I can give it my all this Friday. I can’t believe it’s finally here. I have trained as hard as I could and will continue to train until the day before I hit the stage. After that, it’s time to have some fun and leave it God. I am already happy with wherever I place, because I know that I have given everything 100 percent and that’s really all I can do.
If you girlies make it to Vegas this weekend for the Mr. Olympia, make sure to stop by the SAN Nutrition booth at the expo. I will be there after prejudging and all day Saturday. Come say hello, I would love to meet you!
