I’m mother of 14-year-old twins, and I can’t wait to have a lovely celebration on Mother’s Day. Like my Mother, I had the fortune of being a Mom at a very young age. My mother is one of the most important persons in my life, and I want to celebrate with my Mom and be creative with this celebration. This Mother’s Day, I want to help her to live fit, so she can feel great! Here are some ideas to help inspire our Moms to be healthier!
Fun Fitness Equipment: Health is a key to a good life, so how about a gift that will help her fit in fitness? Some ideas are a BOSU Ball, jump rope, resistance bands, exercises videos or a few personal trainer sessions.
New Tennis Shoes: I want to motivate my Mom to exercise and create opportunities to share time together. So I am thinking of giving my Mom a new pair of sneakers, and inviting her to take a walk with me weekly. This is a great way to spend time together and talk, and the new tennis shoes are a perfect way to help her ease into a fitness journey.
Pedometer: This can be helpful for many Mothers’ fitness goals, especially if the goal is to burn more calories. It can help her to monitor her level of activity, so she can improve her body composition and improve her heart and overall health.
Music: Prepare a good playlist for her gym or fitness routine! If she likes to walk like my mother, this can be a creative, thoughtful and cost-effective gift for her. Music motivates and is a good company for training.
Gym Membership: This can be an extraordinary gift and something that maybe she doesn’t expect!
Spa Day: Spa days can be very helpful for reducing stress and relaxing—something all Moms need. You can include a massage, facial, manicure and/or pedicure and full body exfoliation.
Healthy Fitness Basket: Select good choices like low-calorie recipe book, vitamins, FitnessRx For Women Magazine (subscription for a year), some whey protein (Isofast from MHP), MHP pudding, protein bars, etc. Be creative!
Fruit Bouquet: Swap flowers for a nutritious bouquet! This is an amazing, delicious fitness gift!

I love being a Mom, a professional athlete and a Dentist, but sometimes it is hard to do it all. On these special dates, some small details can just recharge batteries to be better and be a great example for my kids.
I want to dedicate this article to my young Mother! She is funny, beautiful and inspires and pushes me everyday with her example. She is my best friend. Hopefully this article motivates her to incorporate more fitness into her life.
