As women, we are so focused on our abs and legs most of the time that we tend to forget we have other important muscle groups! It’s almost an “out-of-sight, out-of-mind” mentality.
But a strong back is essential! Our backs also provide us with a lot of support on a day-to-day basis. Training the back can also be a powerful tool in preventing many kinds of back injuries— along with making our waist appear a little smaller! I mean… who wouldn’t want a smaller looking waist? No more ignoring it— strong backs are sexy and healthy!
Here is a “Back Attack” plan to get you started…
One-arm Dumbbell Row: 4×8 (each arm)
Lat pulldowns: 4×12
Bent-over Row (wide grip): 4×10
Seated Row Machine: 4×12
Rope Pulldowns: 4×8
Weighted Pull-up Machine: 4×8
Be sure to incorporate back into your weekly workout routine. As you strengthen your back, you will prevent a lot of back pains. It will tighten up and tone that “bra fat” we all hate, and also make our waists appear smaller! Put a little more effort into the smaller muscle groups and you will be amazed to see your body transform.
