Are you getting tired of bland oatmeal? Do you want to add flavor without lots of the extra calories? Then, give my sweet, healthy and quick recipe a try: Chai-Spiced Oatmeal.
Chai tea is typically a blend of ginger, cinnamon and cloves with black, green or oolong tea. Other common chai tea ingredients are cardamom, black peppercorns and fennel, all which add robust flavor and have nutritional benefits.
So here’s how to make Chai-Spiced Oatmeal
Ingredients
Steeped chai tea (in place of water)
Oats
Stevia
Splash of almond milk
Cinnamon
Preparation
Using the steeped chai tea in place of water, make your oats as usual. I prefer using the microwave because it is more convenient. When cooked, add stevia, a splash of almond milk and cinnamon, if you like. And, viola…Chai-spiced Oatmeal. Enjoy!
Note: If you don’t love chai tea, get creative with other flavors of tea.
