I’ve taken the typical tilapia filet and ground it up with a few other ingredients to create a tilapia burger that is packed with flavor. TILAPIA BURGERS
Ingredients
4, 4 oz. raw tilapia filets
1 whole egg
2TB lemon juice
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/3 cup each: chopped red and orange bell pepper
1 cup spinach
1TB Italian seasoning blend
2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. paprika
salt and pepper, to taste
How to Prepare
1. Coat a large skillet with non-stick cooking spray; set aside.
2. Put all ingredients into a food processor and blend for approximately one minute, until fish is completely minced and all ingredients are fully blended.
3. Scoop out mixture and shape into four equal patties.
4. Put tilapia patties into skillet and place skillet over medium-high heat. Cook for approximately 7 minutes, or until patties are golden brown underneath. Flip with a spatula and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until patties are golden brown underneath and fish is cooked all the way through. Enjoy!
