5 Ways to Debloat Your Face

Easy Tips to Look Your Best

We all go through short periods of excessively binge eating the better foods in life: pizza, burgers, cookies, CHOCOLATE. For me, those “short periods” turn into a full blown diet, lasting way too long. I know it starts to take a toll when I wake up in the morning with a some seriously facial bloating. That ain’t cute!

Take a look at these tips that will help you get rid of that morning bloat!

5 Ways to Debloat Your Face

1. Drink Water

Bloating is very related to dehydrated skin. The more water you drink, the faster you’ll flush out and eliminate a good amount of the sodium and sugar you consumed. This is exactly why I’m obsessed with those obnoxiously large Starbucks cups because it holds 24 oz of liquid! I always try and get six glasses of water at the very least, so three to four of the Starbucks cups is a perfect amount. Any tumbler cup will do!

2. Facial Massage

Try an increase some blood flow to your face! I vote for getting a facial at a Spa to sneak in some relaxing “me” time, but self massaging will work just as well. If you self massage, just grab your favorite moisturizing lotion and pop it in the fridge for 20-30 minutes or until it’s nice and cool. You can either move your fingers in small circular motions, or you can move in a windshield wiper motion that is most effective around the eyes. Don’t forget to give some lovin’ to your neck!

3. Green Tea

Whether you’re sipping on it, putting it on your eyes, or both, green tea is full of antioxidants that act as a natural detoxifier. This will help get rid of your “puffiness” if you use it as a topical on an inflamed area. I suggest boiling the bag of tea and freezing it after! The coolness and caffeine of the bag will shrink any swelling under your eyes.

4. Face Masks

Those little half moon under eye masks are so trendy right now and I LOVE THEM. I have tried so many different kinds and I truly feel like they work. Right now I am loving the Skyn Iceland – Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels. I got a pretty big pack of 15 eye gels from Ulta! Another popular trend are those sheet masks. If you follow me on Snapchat, you know I always have those things on! Masks are a great way to de-bloat because they leave your skin feeling refreshed and tightened! Isn’t that what we’re trying to do here?!

5. Contour

Okay… so if tips 1-4 do NOT work for you at all, turn to your handy dandy makeup brush and contour the crap out of your beautiful face! There goes some expert advice, right? (LOL!) Every time I’m feeling a little chubby, I make sure to get a little Pablo Picasso with my contouring and that usually does the trick. My favorite products to contour with are from Kat Von D, Anastasia Beverly Hills and Morphe Brushes!
